History of the hotel

A building steeped in history

Arles lineage dating back to the XIVᵉ century. This noble family owned the seigneury of Île de Turbon on the Rhône, an estate granted by the king in 1654. Among its notable members, Imbert de Someyre served as consul of Arles on several occasions between 1599 and 1611, and Honoré de Someyre was a captain in the Guards regiment in 1633.

The building itself, dating from the XVIᵉ and XVIIᵉ centuries, is a former mansion located in the heart of the historic town, opposite the Réattu museum and close to the Constantine and Rhône thermal baths.

Today, the hotel has preserved all its historic charm while undergoing regular renovations to offer our guests the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. Certain features, such as the staircase banister and the 15th-century trompe l’oeil (vaulted ceiling) are listed historic buildings, testifying to the unique character of our establishment.
